Kings Gambit Hello my fellow chess fans. I was thinking about starting to play the Kings Gambit in response to 1...e5. What do you think of this opening? Which lines should I avoid and which should I aim for?

Thanks in advance,
The almighty Jaflake

you should .. Go look at some of the past game history of brunetti .

and then sacrifice more?

The answer.... .....is the same: study brunetti's games. He is an avid player of the Muzio Gambit.

I've kind of fallen in love with the King's Knight Gambit. Exciting tactics, and mostly unexplored by todays players. It has largely fallen out of use, because several grandmasters deemed it 'unsound' ...but hey ... I'm not playing grandmasters. :-) The main lines are covered nicely in Reuben Fine's "The Ideas Behind the Chess Openings" Morphy had a couple of real nice KKG games as well

e4e6.com Hi all, if you go to e4e6.com, you can find 184 KGgames in which white wins with this terrific opening system, i like to play KG in my games, and I'm studing to improve it, I would very pleased to play KG with someone who likes it, 2 games one 4 each side. bye
