Not all its moves are silly, and sometimes those that are look like the kind of moves that a beginner might make, e.g. spotting the attack on the rook but overlooking the deadlier mate. Board's a bit hard to read, though. I dropped a queen in one game, which was why it took about 35 moves (69ply, I think) to win. 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.e3 Bg4 So far, so plausible... 4.Bd3 b5? How often do you see this kind of beginner move - which loses more than the loose pawn... 5.Bxb5 Bxf3 6.Qxf3 e5 This one, tho', is mystifying. I wouldn't think even beginners would play this. After all they do try to play with some purpose... 7.Bxc6+ Ke7 8.Bxd5 Rc8 Overlooking the main threat... 9.Qxf7+ Kd6 10.Qe6# This game seems to encourage you to look for the quick kill... I remember my first week of games pretty much all involved 1. e4 2. Bc4 3. Qf3 with the hope of a quick mate. I tried a repeat of bucklehead's game, and this happened: 1.e4 d5 2.Qh5 dxe4 3.Bc5 b6 (well, it varied...) 4.Bxf7+ Kd7 5.Qd5#. Inconclusive... Most of my games with it have been in the 60-70ply range (30-35 moves). It does occasionally play sensible, even good, moves, but at other times it seems almost to challenge you to spot the cheapo it's just walked into. It has walked into some very interesting and complicated checkmate positions! Cheers, ion

It would go ahead and make a stronger one. Like it was trying to play up to my expectations :) But then finally it got to a position after Re1+ where it had 3 options for its unchecking king move. I had to give up on it after giving it 10 or 12 tries to answer with Kf8. Instead it insisted it must move to one of the other squares ... which both lose its Queen <8~(( [that there is the symbol for "Unhappy-with-a-dunce-cap-on". ]

Message: I played it and won in seven moves, but, as was said earlier, it was overlooking the real threat. I unfortunately quit the game, so I dont have the annotation, but I went in for the scholarmate, it attacked my Q, I moved, it defended its pawn (i was forking its pawn and the pawn for mate), I moved my bishop to attack, it attacked my Bishop, I won. Now, this is the sort of thing a kid who'd just learned about defending would do. It shows a bit of competence, but... still sucked lol. P.S. This is only a game site, not an actual chess site, so what do y'all expect haha! Also, the games are pretty sweet :D
