It was a great experience to see "the kid" play against Kasparov here in Reykjavik over a year ago. During the first game he was watching his opponent more closely than the chesstable, but the "russian monster" narrowly escaped with a draw (and then won the second one to advance). I've never doubt ever since that there goes a future world champ. His stunning 2792 performance at Arnold Eikrem Memorial in Gausdal recently is the best ever seen from one so young, and the chess he's playing makes you just go wow at times. Hats off for the "kid", what a talent!
