Message: it doesnt anymore,i need more challanges to get my rating up ——— Anand Wins Again to Lead World Chess Championship — Viswanathan Anand, the world chess champion, used a blistering attack to win the fourth game of his title match against Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria on Wednesday. He now leads the best-of-12 match 2.5 points to 1.5. It was the second win by Anand, both times in games where he had White. As in Game 2, he chose the Catalan, an opening long favored by Vladimir Kramnik, the former world chess champion who won a memorable, and acrimonious match against Topalov in 2006. Though it might be amusing to assume that Anand has chosen the opening for psychological reasons (play the opening of Topalov’s greatest nemesis), it is more than likely that Anand selected ...

Message: is no more chalanges you need. is to win more games. may be you need to play the ches better. ——— Chess Championship Match Remains Tied After Game 3 Is Drawn — After two decisive games, Game 3 of the World Chess Championship match in Sofia, Bulgaria, ended peacefully Tuesday with a draw. The match score in the best-of-12 match is now 1.5-1.5. Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria, the challenger, had White, as in Game 1, and again opened with 1 d4. Viswanathan Anand of India, the chess champion, who had blundered badly in Game 1 after he used the Grunfeld Defense, switched openings in Game 3, opting for the solid Slav Defense. Topalov tried to steer the game toward complicated and unclear positions, which he likes, by offering a pawn sacrifice at a couple of junctures. But Anand avoided any risks, declining Topalov’s offers and ...

5/31/2003 08:33:53 Play online chess | Dear gohan2535,
Message:
What is wrong with your rating? Is it too low? What do you expect? 1300 is still low, and so is 1500! Why not just use your games to have fun or to train yourself in order that you can improve your skill? I cannot see any reason why you have to be proud or happy if you can reach 1500 while nothing changed with your skill.
My rating is around 1550 now. I can boost that in a few days (assuming that my opponents would finish the games quickly). But then what? Will I reach 2500? If only I could improve my skill by playing with you, I would love to challenge you. But I know that it is not good to choose opponents of too low or too high rating for training purposes.
I have 2 games with highly rated players. With cyrano (2900+) I have a Sicilian Najdorf defense. I use the game to understand this defense by looking into the game more deeply. It will improve my skill by deeply analyzing my game (and this is my defense of choice). With keiserpaul (2100+) I have a Halloween Gambit. With such a critical game, I have to think of exact moves, which at the end will improve my calculating skill. I have 2 chessboards setup in my room for these 2 games. The rest of the games are… you imagine that! ——— Fide world chess championship: Topalov takes on Anand — The Bulgarian challenger finished the first game in brutal style. After two games, the score in the Anand-Topalov world championship match is even. Bulgarian Topalov won the first, but Anand struck back in the second. As is often the case, the moves off the board play a role too. Anand's flight to Sofia was cancelled due to the ash cloud, so he was forced to make a 40-hour car journey from Frankfurt. He asked for the first game to be postponed by three days, but the organising committee – which includes Topalov's manager and Bulgaria's PM – rejected the request. The match only started after the International Chess Federation insisted on a compromise of one ...

Message: But I hide my online status, which you don't like. ——— Anand Wins Game 2 to Square Title Match — Viswanathan Anand of India, the reigning world chess champion, beat Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria in Game 2 of their world chess championship match to even the score at 1 point each. Anand had lost the first game after a terrible blunder, but he bounced back with a fine performance on Sunday. The match is a best-of-12 with a prize fund of two million euros (about $2.7 million). Although not a blistering win by Anand, it was efficient and workmanlike. He actually was worse out of the opening but slowly and surely outplayed Topalov, who finally made a couple of errors that allowed Anand to force a winning endgame. The ball is now in Topalov’s court and it will be interesting ...

Message: botherd about rating that much, its just that i would like to try and beat higher rated players because 1)i get more points for beating people 400+ then my rating 2)to have more active games 3)i would like to beat everyone possible under 1500 rating it will be hard but i will do it ——— Topalov Wins First Game of World Chess Championship Match — Veselin Toplaov of Bulgaria got off to a great start in the world chess championship match as he won Game 1 after Viswanathan Anand of India, the world chess champion, blundered. The game was barely out of the opening stages when Anand erred in a dynamically balanced position. Facing checkmate, he resigned after only 30 moves. It was a startlingly quick and unexpected beginning to a match that many experts have said is too close to call. Anand, who has been world chess champion since 2007, is ranked No. 4 in the world, but has been ranked No. 1. His ranking has slipped recently as he prepared to defend his title. Topalov is ranked No. 2 and was ...
