Message: I have every so often gotten into an interesting position playing the Alekhine Defense that goes into the Scandanvian.
Here are the moves:
1. e2-e4 Ng8-f6
2. Nb1-c3 d7-d5
3. e4-e5 Nf6-e4
4. Nc3xe4 d5xe4
Now from this point I feel that I (black) have the advantage. So first do I have an advantage in this position? Is there a better move after 3. e4-e5? And lastly is there a name for this openning, because I like these games, because they are already unusual from the "norm" and provide an interesting middle game that is very open.

Message: I ve looked throug the cm database.I think e5 is the most active and used move. After your moves I dont think black has any advantage at all, but the game is even. Its interesting to see that this variation u suggest r so seldom seen maybe white has a little advantage..I dont know
The more used move after 3.e5 is nd7 and then white has the very interesting move e6!? That swedish gm Hector used at some games with promising wins.. it sacs a pawn but makes blacks development complicated and opens up the e8-h5 diagonal for attacking chances.

Message: 3... Ne4 is considered a sideline (3...d4 or 3...Nfd7 are more common) because after 4.Nce2!? black's knight isn't well placed in e4 ——— The Catalan chess opening: what would Topalov do? — The Bulgarian is an aggressive chess player. But the Catalan doesn't bring about a quick victory. RB When you see that the chess player with the move is Topalov you immediately start thinking tactics – quiet, careful improvement is not the Bulgarian's style. So, using the player's identity as a clue, and with an additional hint provided by the absence of a knight on f6, my eye is immediately drawn to 1 Ng5, with the twin threats of 2 Qxh7 mate and 2 Bxb7. Let's have a look at how Black might counter: 1...g6 might not be as bad as it first appears. After 2 Bxb7 Rb8 both the bishop and knight are en prise. Here I would be tempted to ...

Message: is the most common move. 3... Nfd7 and 3... Ne4!? are also seen, although the former allows a transposition to the French Steinitz as well as the move 4. e6!?. ——— Chess Hustling, a Look Back — Part of the fabric of night life in New York City, particularly during the summer, are the street chess games. Dozens of chess players in places like Washington Square Park, Union Square and St. Nicholas Avenue and 141st Street are up all night, taking on all comers, for a few dollars a game. The games are fast and gritty and often peppered with non-stop and colorful banter. Chess hustling has been around for many years, but how and when did it begin? In 2007, a hustler named Kenny, who went by the name Little Daddy, and who had been hustling on the street for decades, said that the guy who started it all was a man named Bobby Haywood. He said that Haywood appeared one day in ...
