Message: I have had mixed results, but that is because I don't know it very well... But so far, I really like the opening. it has a lot of possibilities, especially against opponents who don't know it very well :)
I just sent you a challenge as White. Maybe you can challenge me back so I can play Black against you too?

Chess news:
Polgar: Excitement continues at Tech: Girls tournament, chess park unveiled -- Sixty qualifiers from 44 states are at Texas Tech to compete for the most prestigious all-girls national chess championship in the United States. Many of the chess players, their parents, siblings, and coaches arrived July 25. Volunteers welcomed players and their families to Lubbock and transported them to their dorm rooms on campus. Upon arrival at Gordon Hall, players met me, Polgar Committee Chairperson Dewain Barber, Assistant Chief TD Chris DeLeon, and Stephanie Ballom from the Texas Tech Knight Raiders Chess Team. The opening ceremony Sunday was spectacular. It was held at Frazier Pavilion. Barber welcomed everyone, and ...
Some chess grandmasters are older and wiser, but weaker -- Cyclist Lance Armstrong, golfer Tom Watson and chess grandmaster Anatoly Karpov each challenged much younger rivals last month. Only Karpov failed miserably -- a dreadful score of 1 1/2 -7 1/2 . Can chess, not a physically demanding sport, really be so difficult for its aging champions? Absolutely! The rating lists provide conclusive evidence that the ability to play chess at a very high level declines sharply after age 50. Even those rare grandmasters who remained successful in their mid-50s, such as Viktor Korchnoi and Sammy Reshevsky, were markedly weaker than in their prime years. For most chess grandmasters, the drop is between 100 and 200 rating points. Others ...
Wonderful Chess Circus -- Two Americans, Hikaru Nakamura and Vasik Rajlich, became world chess champions at the Chess Classic in Mainz, Germany, last week. They won their titles in Chess960, an adjusted version of Bobby Fischer's random chess, in which a computer reshuffles the pieces behind the pawns before the start of each game. (There are 960 positions possible, hence the name.) Nakamura won the Chess960 Rapid World Championship, smashing the Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian 3½-½ in the final. Rajlich won the Livingston Chess960 World Championship, a computer competition, after his program, Rybka, defeated Shredder by a score of 3-1. The Russian chess grandmaster ...
