Message: Bad behavior. Appreciate seeing the information - can chalk up someone as a player I'm not going to play.
But don't let this detract from the tremendous pleasure of the game. If you do, he will succeed in his purpose. Just get on with your other games - and when he comes back from vacation he will resign or be mated.
Chess has too much happiness for it to be ruined by something like this.

Chess news:
H Bomb fuse fizzles out -- Hikaru Nakamura’s wonderful run came to an end at the World Chess Team Championships as world number five Levon Aronian managed to overcome the American’s King’s Indian Defence with the aid of a strong novelty in the opening and win the chess match for Armenia. The lead changed hands again and with one to play Russia are one match point ahead of the USA after crushing Egypt 3.5-0.5. Russia face Israel in the last round while the USA must overcome the European champions Azerbaijan who are still just about in the hunt for gold. ...
Jonathan Hawkins and Peter Williams shine at Hastings Masters -- The Hastings Masters, as ever generously supported by the local council, had two significant English successes besides the triumph of the 19-year-old David Howell and Mark Hebden, 51, who shared first prize with chess players from France and Romania. Jonathan Hawkins qualified for the international master title with his third IM performance in as many tournaments. The remarkable feature was that he did it aged 26, living in Durham away from major chess centres, and that he learned his chess skills from a computer without a human coach. Hawkins was graded 102, a weak novice, at age 14, and 158, moderate club standard, at 19, but he has surged in his ...
Israeli's Blunder Sets Up a Surprising Finish -- The biggest team event in chess is the biennial Olympiad, which was first held in 1924. At the last one, in Dresden, Germany, in 2008, teams from 146 nations competed. A similar tournament, the World Team Chess Championship, which has been held every four years since 1985, is much smaller. Though it is not considered as prestigious as the Olympiad, perhaps it should be. Only 10 teams compete, but they usually include the top three squads from the most recent Olympiad; the chess champions from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas; two teams that are invited to participate; and one from the host country. The most recent championship ended in Bursa, Turkey, last ...
